Re: "CLICK" and no start
I am having this problem. What is the best way to get at the bolts holding the starter? Do I go from underneath? How did you get to them and get a good bit of torque?
Thank you so much.

Red 194 LED's
my LED flash light goes dim as the batteries wear, no reason a dimmer will not work on the dash LEDs. If your car does not have a dimmer you can always put some translucent tape or plastic over the lights when you install them to reduce the amount of light they put out.

So I received and installed my RED surface mount 194 based LED's today. The only downside is no brightness control, either on or off. They may be a little too bright for me. I am going on a test drive in a few minutes. I can't wait to get a cluster with a tach built in, I like ...

Ran it through the hole for the clutch pedal linkage. It was wide enough to fit a few wires for extra projectsirowiki wrote:I am planning on doing this as well, where did you run the wire through the firewall?

Re: my new Tach- video
that is a pretty nice looking tach, though almost too "modern" looking for the 30 year old econo-box tercel (so now you have to "modernize" the rest of the car!). It looks annoyingly too bright for driving at night, can that be turned down? Also, the scrolling digital rpm numbers seem like a big ...

my new Tach- video
So I received my new Tachometer in the mail and installed it last night. You SR5 guys (or ones with an upgraded cluster) probably take it for granted. When I was installing it this guy walked up to me confused. What do you need that fer??? He asked. He said that his cars never came with them and ...

Re: How many miles do you average per tank?
the low fuel lite is a separate sender not run off the fuel level sender, it is just an on/off switch that comes on at the same fuel level everytime, no matter what the level sender is doing. It should always come on at the same fuel level, so you do not need to sweat it. the fuel level sender ...

Re: How many miles do you average per tank?
Jesse, you are way too conservative on when you fill up, I typically put about 11 gallons in mine. my low fuel light does not work so I do not have that annoying reminder, I just watch the position of the fill up needle. I am well into the red "reserve" area on the fuel gauge when I fill up ...

Missing HAI hot air hose?
Hello everyone,
Something has been bugging me for a while now since owning my Terc. Have been noticing this big opening on the engine that's missing a hose. Looking at the FSM I am missing the hose that brings hot air from the engine during cold conditions into the air cleaner. A few questions ...

Re: How many miles do you average per tank?
When I was stretching it from a trip from the coast I made it to 365 Mi. Usually It's about 320 and the fuel light starts to fade in and out at about 280. The most I have been able to fill it was 10.13 gallons and Gas Cubby reports that the MPG on that one came out to 32.4 (Off I'm sure.) Usually I ...

The FSM says my vehicle should be at 650RPM does this seem right or a little too low? The FSM also says to fully open the choke during setting. How do I open the choke?

Re: Why are the Tercel valves adjusted hot?
I am going to do the hot adjustments tonight. I am thinking all should go well now. What is the torque spec for the valve cover? I have just been tightening it down not too tight but I didn't know if there is an official spec somewhere? I could not find it in the FSM.
Thank you,
Jesse
