They're not ganging up on you, terceldude. They're just confused by your actions, and asking legitimate questions.

Re: 1986 Tercel 4wd PNW Wanting to buy 197k miles $2500
Welcome to the forum, olive.osb. I personally don't like the automatic Tercels very much, and the auto-to-manual swap is a big project that requires some fabrication and modifications -- there are no kits for it so you have to figure that stuff out on your own. Couple those things with the running ...

Re: Trade me tires…
I’m sure you thought of this, but keep in mind that having different sized tires on will make logging mileage really difficult. Your speed is off, and hence, trip logger is off.
You're correct that non-stock tire size affects tracking of mileage, but it's not hard at all. You just use a tire ...

Re: Weber? Maybe.. maybe not.
I had the short filter (I think everyone does, the tall one wouldn't come anywhere close to fitting even with the phenolic spacer removed) and it didn't fit even with the spacer removed. I ended up cutting the hood and putting a hood scoop over it.

Re: 5th gear z54f 4wd wagon 1986
Ok, good stuff. Are you on facebook? That will probably be your best bet for finding the parts you need. There is a fb group for 4wd Tercels that is much more active than this forum is nowadays. Most of the regular posters from this forum also use that group, plus there are tons of other folks there ...

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Do you have your transmission disassembled, and is it just 5th gear you need?

Re: Air bubbles in fuel line
My car generally runs well but I noticed bubbles at the fuel filter too, and asked here on the forum about it. Here is that thread:

Basically, it seems like the bubbles are not due to sucking air in the system. It might be due to agitation of the ...

Re: Weber? Maybe.. maybe not.
I can't comment on the air suction system because the Tercels here in Canada don't have them. For the EGR though, the most popular solution someone came up with was to turn that into the PVC port, since you have to remove the phenolic spacer for the Weber to fit under the hood and that spacer is ...

Re: Wtb vacuum advance
Same here re: Phatcat's response. I got one off of ebay. It was expensive but I'm glad to finally have a fully functioning one now.
It's important to note that if the distributor o-ring is leaking, it will cause the diaphragms in the vacuum advance unit to degrade over time. I think that's the main ...

Re: ISO driver's side headlamp for 1987-88 wagons
Dang, Gary. I wish I could help you out but my spare parts are all 83-86. Luke Anthony from the facebook group might have something for you, he has a pretty impressive trove of parts. I can't remember his name on here so I'll see if I can find it but otherwise you might try dropping him a line on FB ...

Re: Recommendations for Aftermarket Master Cylinder Brand
I have had terrible luck with rebuilt brake master cylinders, but I've had good luck with new ones regardless of brand. So I wouldn't worry about brand and instead just focus on finding a new one.
Looking on rock auto now, it appears all the ones they are currently carrying are new and not reman's.

Have you tried car-part.com? I don't know if they sell parts of engines separately but it's worth a look.

Re: How to remove exterior SR5 molding
Welcome, BFGoon. It looks like your Tercel is an 83 so it should be easy to remove, just follow Petros' advice in the post above yours. On the 85 and up models the exterior door trim was fastened with double-sided foam tape which was more of a pain in the ass to deal with.
