howdy! first post here. happy to say im the proud owner of a 1985 and 1986 tercel wagon 4wd!
had the light blue one for about 2 weeks now, just picked up the second one today. goal is to make a very pretty one out of the two although they both run and drive.
been reading these forums like crazy and am so thankful with how many resources there are on here.
Welcome to the forum, gettingRobbed. I'm sure you've already read it but just in case you didn't, make sure to check the gear oil level in your Tercels and top them up if needed. It's common for slow transmission leaks to lead to low gear oil levels which in turn leads to dead transmissions, and these transmissions didn't come in any other cars and there are very few new parts available for them so you will want to do everything you can to avoid damaging them.
hey dlb, thank you for the kind welcome and warning! thanks to this forum i did read about the rarity of these transmissions and taking care of them. Currently waiting to get them the proper love and care they deserve but the light blue one is my daily until i get a new tire mounted on my civic.
already noticing the multiplying splatterdog... the same owner i purchased the first one off sold me the second one. hoping to find a nice manual transmission tercel.
