Edmonton, Alberta - looks pristine!

If this weren't an automatic, I think I'd make the 2 1/2 hr drive and go buy it. Nicest Canadian 4x4 Tercel I've seen since they were new.

If I didn't know my wife would kill me for getting another tercel, I'd go down and grab that beauty in Salem right freaking now.

Great Gas Mileage in my '83 =)

So I usually use my '83 4WD just as an around-town beater; and when booting around town aggressively in and out of 4wd it gets around 30mpg (imperial gallon) still. Today I was curious as to what kind of gas mileage I could get on the highway, so I took it on a small trip out of town.

The folks in ...

Re: Front Left Window Regulator for 83

No, I need the assembly in the front/drivers door. Mine is stripped so my window won't properly go up/down. It stops just shy of all the way up, which makes it bloody cold when it's -20 weather.

And I'm not worried about the light switch arm... I'd have to rip the steering column assembly open to ...

Front Left Window Regulator for 83

Anyone able to find a Front Left Window Regulator for a 1983? Mine is toast, and I've checked all the wreckers / pick & pulls around here and can't find one.

I'm willing to pay any reasonable price plus shipping to Alberta Canada, T4B 1V2 if someone can get me one...

As it is I've had to block the ...

Re: Does anyone have a hood?

Thanks! It is that pale blueish colour. Same as my avatar pic. I will give them a call tomorrow as well. I got the parts list and I am gonna see what is out there.

...and good luck with the purchase. It sounds like a nice one, have you taken it for a test drive?

No, I haven't even seen it yet ...

Re: Does anyone have a hood?

Hey Albertabeef what is the name of that pick-a-part in Calgary? and that would be sweet if you could ask your friend if he has seen any terc's in Edmonton. I searched that car-part website and they only have hoods in the lower mainland and Manitoba. Also what is the scoop on that Tercel that you ...

Re: Does anyone have a hood?

So does anyone have a hood that won't cost more than the tercel to ship to northern Alberta? I have found one in Vancouver for $95 and I don't know how much shipping will be.
There's two in the pick-a-part at Calgary...

I can ask a buddy of mine to look in Edmonton for you... he goes to there ...

Re: Best winter car ever, lol =)

Yeah, I'm having loads of fun in this... it drifts pretty well for an old beater 62hp car too, lol.

I just found another one for sale ... somebody wants $1000 for their '85 SR5 4wd with only 90,000km on it. I think I might snatch that one up too... that way the wife can drive one in bad weather ...

OMG, best friggin' winter car I've ever owned. Best $500 I think I've ever spent!!!

OK, y'all know I've only had this car since the very end of November... and only really tested the 4wd in the back alley (dirt/gravel)... well, today we got a nice dump of snow... that caused horrible roads because ...

Personally, I want to just put a 4a-c into mine when the engine I have wears out... but it got rebuilt just before I bought it, and runs beautifully... no need for a swap at the moment...

But someday...

Re: headlight conversion ... worth it?

Yeh, oregon is pretty lenient too. We dont really have emissions crap, the headlights thing is federal, so that doesn't matter, but nobody really enforces it.
I like Oregon... I've got a good friend in Tri-Cities (Wa.) area, and when I visit him I usually take extra time to drive through to ...
