Re: Belated intro

there are so many landcruisers in Aus, I can't get to grips with the look of the 200series though, I like the idea of the automatically disconecting roll bars for greater wheel travel.

Have done thousands of kms in the old troopys though, they are still very popular in the bush.

Re: Belated intro

13 seems to be an average number around the LC community. An '86 is a great year. It's the second to last year of the standard transmission in Land Cruisers. No EFI though, that came along with the AT in '88 with the FJ62 model. I have an '83 that I'm "Learning" about the 60 series on. It's a beast ...

Not mine. Told him I'd post it here. I'd be all over it if it was closer.

Belated intro

I realized last night that I never posted up any pics of my '86 that I bought it in August of '07. My brother's best friend in high school had one that he absolutely loved. I became (and still am) obsessed with Land Cruisers, but always had a fondness for the Tercel 4WD. I found this on Craigslist ...

That's awesome. I missed that when I watched it. I find it ironic that there's a Terc in that movie when the guy who first introduced me to the splender of the ...

Working fine now. I guess it just needed some mud beneath it. Shifts through all the gears flawlessly. I did manage to almost get it stuck today. I sat there, in the mud, contemplating the walk back to my house should I not be able to get it out under it's own volition. Luckily, it never came to ...

Newbie Question

So, I finally got to test out the 4wd in my '86 six speed. It works, but only in EL. Is that the way it's supposed to be or is their something wrong? I tried to put it into second, since first isn't syncronized, and it just died. Many thanks.

Tercel in Phoenix needs saving.

I hope the link works for you guys. Thought I'd let some of the Brethren know in case anyone is in the position to save it. I am in no position to save it or even to help anyone else save it.
