The 1987 Tercel Deluxe 4x4 wagon that I am driving will pass this mark tonight when I drive home from work; still getting over 31 mpg on the original engine!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :D :D :D :D

Thats awesome! Especially to have the original engine running fine.

Mine is at 377,600kms (234,xxxmiles). Heh, but its on its 3rd engine. It had an engine swap before i got it. But the headgasket went on the swapped engine and it filled with coolant. The previous owner parked it and left it. The engine was all rusty inside when I pulled the head on it. I sourced another engine that had really low kms on it. I hope to take the car to 500,000kms. :P

I just started a poll on this subject. It'll be interesting to see where people sit mileage wise.

I think that I will easily make it to 250000 miles on this engine. It does leak/burn a little bit of oil, less than a quart per 3000 miles; not enough to worry about yet.
The tranny has some problems in 4wd. That is a problem in the winter in the mountains!
The body (and interior) on this car is nearly perfect, with no rust; if I do make it to 250000 I am planning to drop some money into it as a kind of celebration or something. Exterior paint, rebuild/replace the motor clutch and tranny. I replaced the clutch (third time) at 190,000, so hopefully it will last that long~!
I figure for the cost of the rebuild/repaint I will still have a great little old car for mucho dollars less than a new riceburner from ???
:D :D

I put my clutch in when I pulled the engine and it's already fried...
