They look great!
And I think your reasoning was good too.
How are they performing? Do you notice any difference from stock?

thanks simone. they perform fine, no complaints. they feel a little firmer than stock, which isn't surprising as they have 22 mm less sidewall height.

Looks really good David. I like the standard ride height you have attained. How did you do that in the end. I remember you were trying a few spring/shock setups a while ago? The Corolla 4wd wagons are getting quite popular again in Australia with most of the youth preferring to lower them.
The other thing for an engineer to think about as well as weight is aerodynamics. Although I don't think there would be much in that either.

Re: wheel weight - is 4 lbs per wheel a big difference?
thanks matt! i didn't touch the front end because the springs up there seem fine, and in the back i wound up keeping the stock springs and added rubber spacers between the top of the spring and the car, like these

splatterdog did the same with his one of his tercels and liked it so i gave it a shot and am really happy with it. it only added about 1" of height, the handling was not affected, and i no longer bottom out the shocks when i have 8 people jammed in there. and i got the spacers for only $15.
