Heater valve leaking

Post by irowiki »

I finally have a used replacement heater valve for the sedan, got it installed, and the darn thing leaks out of where the adjuster goes in and out. Only while the heat is set to "warm" as far as I can tell though

Will it stop leaking after a while, or should I just break down and get a new one? Rockauto has some on closeout for $27

you could try some cheap stop leak, it might work. usually it results in a permanent fix if it works at all.
