I don't know WHY or HOW...but I ended up being the "wagon guy" in my group of friends...started off with a Volvo 240 wagon and I keep it for summer cruising - soon to be on air ride and slammed to the ground. After I planned my build on the Volvo (I call it the LoLvo) I needed a winter beater. Picked up this one for $700 and replaced the brakes, tune up, ball joints, battery and painted it. It's only got 130 000km's on it so it's got a lot of life left in her
Painted the valve cover winter cammo to go along with the winter beater theme
Still needs winter tires and a lift and roof rack with a light bar...

Lots of good info and helpful members here! Also lots of info available by using the Search feature. Did you notice that a FSM is available for download?
Interesting the Volvo wagon; had I been unsuccessful in my search for a T4WD back in 2005, the very next car was going to be a 240 wagon! I had a then-new 122S back in 1964 and have fond memories of it.
