Better find out how much current these pull. You may need to upgrade the wires first.
I never upgraded the wires. The sealed beam bulbs are Halogen too and run at the same wattage and amperage as the H4 bulbs. So really the only thing to consider is the legality of the swap and how much one cares about being legal. Its well worth it in my opinion. One thing I did notice with mine was that it ate up Silver Star bulbs, I think it just got too hot in there. I switched to the Extra Visions (purple box, one step below Sil. Stars) and haven't had a problem since then.

I do not think it was the size of the housing. I had Silver Stars in my wife's Mazda MPV with large factroy housings. Both the silverstars failed low beams in less than a year. Have now switched back to standard bulbs, and they last for a long time. Good info, I do not think I will waste any more money on the Silver Stars anymore.
