Kevin,
It wouldn’t surprise me if Toyota brought a Carib over for a photo shoot as they introduced the Tercel wagon to the NA market. The old sales brochures are fun to see.

That is Timothy Thomas. Here is a solution that has worked well for me. I’ve put a little over 20k miles on this set up without issue.

Re: Sputters or dies after running a while.
Mogordo,
Weber guys will likely be more help. It seems almost everybody running a Weber has switched (or added) electric fuel pumps set up for 2-3 psi I believe.
Whatever carburetor you have, it should be sitting on a heat shield to keep it from getting hot enough to vaporize in the bowl.

Re: Liking the Pathfinder springs
Hey Kevin,
I got about a 2” lift with the new springs. It rides a little more like a truck, but is fine with me and does quite well off-roading.

FB,
Good suggestions thus far, though I’ve found the head gaskets and heads more durable than others. I assume your cooling fan is automatically coming on any time the temp gauge gets above half?? If your cooling fan is working properly and you’re still seeing higher temps, I would start to ...

Foryst,
I’m not advocating for FB at all, it’s just quicker. Luke goes by MrWrench here and is still active on the site.

Foryst,
You might message Timothy Thomas and/or Luke Anthony on the FB page. I should have one if others don’t, but I’m swamped right now.

MrWrench is Luke Anthony and frequents here as well as the unrelated FB page. He is a great guy and will help if he can. Timothy Thomas is on the FB page and parts Tercels out, you might try him. He is often slower to respond, but might have something.

David is spot on,
I’ve not had problems with new product from Rock Auto. See what they have and check reviews elsewhere.

Re: Sputters or dies after running a while.
As shared previously, this continues to sound like a fuel “starvation” issue. As the engine runs and heats the carburetor, fuel will get hot enough to “boil” or vaporize from the bowl. When driving on the highway, the fuel pump and air movement keeps the issue at bay. However, when I would stop for ...

Paul,
Those are the front wheel spacers (as David said) needed when you complete the MR2 rotor and brake caliper upgrade.
