Subject: Looking for 4WD Actuator Motor – 1984 Toyota Tercel AWD Automatic

Hello,

I’m searching for a 4WD actuator motor (also called a transfer case shift solenoid or electric shift actuator) for a 1984 Toyota Tercel wagon with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

This part bolts to the side of the transmission and engages the AWD system electronically. I believe the OEM part numbers may be 36420-16010 or 36420-16020, but I’d appreciate confirmation of compatibility if you have one available.

If you have this part (used or new), or a donor vehicle with it intact, please let me know the condition, price, and shipping options.

Thanks very much!

Hi and welcome to the forum. You may find someone here with the part you're looking for but the 4wd Tercel facebook group is far more active so you might have better luck asking for it on there.

This forum is still great for more in depth things like figuring out complex problems, documenting work being done, posting series of photos of things, etc but when it comes to looking for parts the fb group is far superior.

Good luck!

I would try Luke Anthony on the FB page, great guy!
