Re: The Rusty Frog earning the name

Hey marlin, Took it to the Tercel Midwest Meet and Greet a month ago and it did great! I'm going through the carb now, as it has never quite idled right and trying to adjust it never responded as I would expect. While my AAP diaphragm wasn't leaking, it was crusty and likely not reacting to vacuum a...

Re: Fenders

Good Morning Als85Tercel, Based on your avatar pic, it appears you have a 4-door hatchback. I haven't seen many of those, most hatchbacks are 2 door. I believe the fenders will likely swap fine, though the corner lights and headlight surrounds may be a little different. I know there are differences ...

Re: New forum section feedback

Hey LowBuckCanuck,

If there is an issue, I am sure Paul will get it cleared up. I was able to post a "test" message on the "other - Toyotas", so you might try again. Good luck and have a great Thanksgiving!

Re: Trailing arms legthened and drive shaft

Tercy85, Yes, I had the drive shaft legthened 1” and lengthened the top trailing arms to keep a reasonable u-joint angle. The top trailing arms are solid, I lengthened with 1/2” rebar and then used JB Weld when I pulled the “sleeve” over the repair. I believe I added 1” on the upper trailing arms as...

Carb rebuild book/article

Hey all, I am getting ready to rebuild my carb with a Walker kit. I’m watching Robert’s videos and will print out the attached parts diagram as well. I can’t find my Berrymans after the move, so I will get some chem dip. I love the looks of this article/book by Dan Marinucci, but I can only find the...

Re: HELP - Siblings Tercel busted transmission

dmak_, Two housing bolted together, you can separate the transmission from the front differential housing. Here is a pic of a 4WD transmission, I've never messed with the 2WD, but expect it would be similar. The top shaft is what slips through the clutch plate. With respect to oil/lube, it is a shar...

Re: Front Carrier Axle Bearings

Yaut, I believe the Nachi designation would be E 32007 S1, where the S1 designation relates to heat treatment of some type. I couldn't easily find the same info on the Toyota part #, so I can't confirm they are exactly the same. Amazon Ad From Yoyopart.com Interchange Parts for KOYO 57272AN Brand Sk...

Re: WTB driver side indicator light for 1985 sr5 the amber one on side corner next to headlight.

Simon,

The photo link works for me, you need a 4WD light, the 2WD are different. There is a # on the back of the light housing that would let others know exactly what you need.

Re: Stabiliser bushing question

Good Morning Seth, I don't know that I've renewed those bushings since the lift, but even before the lift, it took a little persuasion with straps, jacks, etc., but wasn't a horrible job. If you're really fighting it, you may consider dropping the front sway bar mounts to get bolted in to your contr...
