it was interesting that this community came together.

I quickly decided I didn't like it, despite it's excellent PDF, because polar answers to basic questions confused real issues.

not really.

basically it goes like this. for some reason(and you've outlined them) you think that our frames won't accept what I consider to be minor engine upgrades. I understand that to some a 80% increase in HP sounds significant but to me that's not a big deal.

I know guys who increase ...

I'm actually a bit confused by the sudden obsession over the need for frame rigidification. I watch quite a bit of shows on TV about people SERIOUSLY upgrading their HP and they never have to boost their frames. I mean if this is just a "do it because you feel like it" thing then I'm fine with that ...

sweet deal! I got mine back from the mechanic. I don't know if it's fixed because they broke the temperature gauge or sensor while they were working. So on Monday it goes back to the shop. Hopefully they'll have my F250's oil pressure problem fixed by then.

on the other hand there is a junkyard in Minnesota who would ship me an engine for $450. but they don't have the ecu or the fuel components I'd need.

I wouldn't be financing it. And I don't think a 92 yota's going to cost much more than a 85 'yota. In fact, with the safety enhancements it may even be cheaper.

Help me out. What does it mean to reindex a flywheel? Have a machine shop grind it to the correct shape?

Where did you physically install the fuel pump? Somewhere under the hood or back by the gas tank?

Got it back from the mechanics. They think I have a warped exhaust valve, but they're just diagnosing via how it's running crappy and the import guy can hear a sound that sounds like a warped exhaust valve.

That's a lot of work to get it fixed. I might as well go for a larger engine(4age) if I was ...

Sounds similar to some of the problems I had a while back. Hell it's still in the shop getting fixed actually. Turns out the thermostat was bad, plus the thermostat housing had cracked. I'm not sure if that was from overheating or what.

I've taken my stock and poorly tuned terk to 90mph. I don't like the way it feels on the highway at high speeds though. I don't know if my shocks are worn out or if it's just that I'm taking it beyond it's limits.

I've never adjusted mine. And I'm confused. The factory manual we have here in PDF says to adjust it every 15k miles, but my chilton's says to do it every 60k miles. That's a pretty big difference.

I remember my Yamaha motorcycle manual had the same recommendation. When I took it to a shop to see ...
