WANTED: AUS: Front Pass. (Left) door, white
Due to malicious damage caused by people out to cause a roommate some grief and not realising he was driving my car, I'm now beginning the search for a door for my Tesla ('84 4WD DLX). If anyone has any advice on where to look in Australia it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not home currently so I...

Re: We have lost one of our own.
I'm shocked to read of Tom's sudden passing. While I never spoke to him personally, I found much wisdom and knowledge from his countless posts on this forum which have helped me keep my Tercel going. For such a tight community as T4WD, his presence will be missed. His legacy will carry on through hi...

Best way to market the Tercel
Check out this video I found from a US Dealership that got a traded in '83 SR5. Looks in pretty nice condition too, wheels and minor paint marks excluded

Re: What is this and is it important?
Ah I see, well winter has just ended here so hopefully this won't be an issue from now on, but might need to get on to it in that case. Thanks for reminding me about that!

Re: What is this and is it important?
Thanks Tom and Petros, I might just leave it in that case at least for now anyway. My conscience might make me fix it though for the sake of neatness that no one will ever see hahah.

What is this and is it important?
I've labeled the attached photo. Am I correct in saying the output circled in red is part of the HAI auxiliary system, and the pipe should connect to the air intake diaphragm? (Might explain why it has trouble warming up and likes to die when it drops from fast idle?) IMG_0749.JPG Also, the two part...

Re: Door seals, rear speakers, opinions pls, and other unusual bits!
If you guys have a version of the Nissan pathfinder, the late 80's version has springs that drop in and raise rear ride height about 50mm, along with making it a bit stiffer. Stock dampers are a little on the short side, although I don't think I've ever topped mine out. Thanks for that, I'll keep a...

Re: Door seals, rear speakers, opinions pls, and other unusual bits!
As far as rear speaker mounts the best thing to do would be to keep checking junkyards or maybe someone on here could mail you a set cheaper than you can find their the seals shouldn't be too hard to find possibly a Toyota factory dealer and the photos regarding the trunk you're looking for should ...

Door seals, rear speakers, opinions pls, and other unusual bits!
Hey all! Well, my '84 DLX lives again! Pending insurance it'll even be out roaming the streets, but I've got big plans for it next year (Year 12 has taken too much of my time this year...). I've got a few questions but not sure whether to make seperate threads, or just compile them all here. ...

Re: Weber time!
Thanks for the replies. I had looked at Carbs Unlimited before but didn't think they shipped over here to Oz. I've just sent them off an email. dlb, thanks for the warning, that's a bummer about Canada's duty chargers. I don't believe we have anything except Import Tax and that only applies at goods...

Re: Fun Fact about Radiator Switches!
Replied in other thread. Contacted the Australian distributor, and being in Braeside VIC they're in the same state as me, which is a plus for postage if I do get one from them. And yeah, kits are VERY expensive here down under, which is why I'm kinda hoping that the DGEV would fit cos I can get it f...

Re: Weber time!
EDIT: 1) An australian forum I found discussing a Weber swap on a 4A engine used the DGV series kits, so I'm starting to think that they'll be fine for my tercel but nevertheless I await a reply from the Australian importer; and 2) 4A kits fit fine on a 3A (and 2TC, and 3TC) ------------------------...

My DLX also has the elusive cloth seats!
Of course the front ones are under Angry Birds seat covers... which I may indeed remove now...

Re: Weber time!
From my other Radiator Fan Switch Fun Fact thread: ... I literally can not find anything about doing a swap down here in aus so if I do go ahead with one it'll be fairly blind. I am pretty sure I have found that I need to get a DFEV not a DGEV but then need to find a mount adapter for it, and a thro...

Re: Fun Fact about Radiator Switches!
Aw poo. Okay aha, All I wanted to ask him was where he bought his weber from being in Australia like me. I literally can not find anything about doing a swap down here in aus so if I do go ahead with one it'll be fairly blind. I am pretty sure I have found that I need to get a DFEV not a DGEV but th...
