Re: fuel pump
this is easy; remove the fuel supply line and return line, plus the outlet line that goes to the carb. you pinch the spring clamps and work the fuel line back and forth to break it free, than it will slip off. Remove the two 12 mm bolts that hold it on to the head, this will take a med length socket wrench extension and a ratchet handle. And remove the old pump.
I would put some grease on the pump lever arm before you install the new one so it will not go in "dry". also clean off all of the old gasket material off the side of the head, and the heat shield. It is important to install the heat shield since the pump is right over the exhaust manifold. I also put non-hardening Permatex form-a-gasket on the new gaskets (both sides of both) because these gaskets tend to want to leak oil all over. Install the new pump and do not over tighten it. I think it only takes like 12 ft-lbs (you might want to check that with the FSM specification), which is just a little tighter than snug. I seldom use a torque wrench when installing the fuel pump, but I know what 12 ft-bls feels like. If you over tighten it you could damage the plastic heat shield, and over tightening it could distort the surface and cause an oil leak.
Than connect the fuel line, the return line and the supply line, and you are ready to give it a test. after you get it to run, inspect for both fuel leaks at the lines, and for oil leak at the gaskets.
