1987 Tercel 4wd 4 Sale by original owner in N. NM

I love this car and almost talked my husband into "maybe we should keep it after all" again last night! But we are paying too much insurance on too many cars. For the full description see my reply to the person in CO looking for exactly what we are selling I think, who posted Nov 22, 2013 (have updated this post below with further details). We are the original owners. Have title, owner's manual, etc. It runs really well, starts right up in sub-freezing temps like this a.m., no known mechanical issues, a few cosmetic issues, good original upholstery, working radio, air conditioning, cargo cover and floor mats, new battery. It's great in the snow - but you all know that. 151+K miles. We're north of Santa Fe, NM. Asking price $1799.00. Cosmetic issues - sun damage to roof and lower edge of windows (this car has often been parked outside in sunny NM). Cracked windshield and fractured passenger-side small rear rectangular non-operable window held together with clear packing tape (ill-advised use of weed whacker near vehicles - said weed whacker banned for good following this incident). Some daubs of dried paint (artist's oil) inside in a few spots - car was used to transport large oil paintings that apparently weren't always dry. The rear hatch door not shown is the same color as the car - most wouldn't notice it's a replacement. Question of a high truck bumper sliding slowly into the car at a stop sign on a residential street in the snow. Apparently the guy didn't understand that locked wheels are locked wheels no matter that you have 4 wheel drive. Left a dimple but no serious damage. That door was replaced a few years ago when our Toyota mechanic came across a match. The rubber strip on the passenger side is gone also.

Just sold my sweet car to a nice woman who drives an 88 corolla but now needs the 4wd - so I know she will love it and take care of it! Thanks for the advice about Craigslist. Sold in 24 hours. I am sad to see it go, but happy it's found a good home...
