New member looking for roadworthy Tercel 4wd wagon

This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

New member looking for roadworthy Tercel 4wd wagon

Post by trubeliever »

Hi. I feel fortunate to have found this site because I have been looking on and off for a Tercel 4wd wagon for some time.
I am hoping that another member may be interested in parting with a roadworthy vehicle, or that I can find one through this site. I live in Colorado, and the area does have it's share of "survivors", but so far I haven't been nimble enough to be first to get one. I'm enjoying looking at all the technical info available here! and really appreciate the expertise and shared knowledge about these amazing cars. Thanks to the administrators/creator of this site and to all the participants willing to share their knowledge and views.

Welcome to the gang Trubeliever. There are many Tercs still out there waiting to be scooped up. Craigslist is a good place to check but be aware of spruced up ads to make a car sound better than it is. Don't be hasty when looking at a potential one for yourself and look it over well. This forum has a ton of tips on what to consider when looking for a Terc wagon.

The right one will surface when the time is right but be prepared to travel for one, a lot of these car live on the West Coast.

Peace

welcome to the forum.

Also, keep your eyes open for abandon Tercel4wd in back yards and side lots, I have inquired and often found the owner willing to sell cheap, sometimes even give them away!

Hi - after 26 years of loyal service to the ski hill, camping, etc. we have decided to part with our 1987 4wd Tercel Wagon. It runs well, starts right up in freezing weather like this morning, has a rebored engine so more pep than typical, good upholstery, new battery, cargo cover, working radio, no known mechanical issues. Has a cracked windshield and a broken small rear side non- operable window ( yes its held together with clear packing tape for that "been around" look). Paint is sun-burned - this is New Mexico! We bought it new and have the original Title. It has 151+K miles. If you are still looking, we are just north of Santa Fe. Asking $1799.00.
