need heavy duty rear coil springs 1983 SR5 4wd wagon

Hi everyone, we've been lurking for a while and found so much great info.
We have resently stalled on finding Heavy Duty Rear Coil Springs for our 1983 SR5 4wd Wagon. I have a phone call into Pedders in Washington, but they haven't called me back. i see i need part #7189 from Australia. Do I need to order from Australia?
I found out that this part is discontinued with Toyota and tried several places (RockAuto, etc). They just don't have them.
We have installed heavy duty shocks KYB Part # KG4762 Gas-A-Just and hoped the new springs would help with the weak suspension.
Any ideas? We don't want to lift it, just strengthen it.

You might want to look at king springs as well. They are another Australian company that might make them and I think they distribute in the states. you can find them sometimes on Australian ebay

where are you located? that will help determine which route you go. unless you're in australia, one idea is to find a spring shop near you and give them the measurements of the stock 4wd tercel rear springs. the measurements they will require are

inside diameter
wire thickness
overall length installed
overall length uninstalled
end of coil style - flat end or pig tail

with that info, the shop could either make you new springs (expensive) or they can find something readily available and relatively inexpensive that should work. i am in the process of doing the second option for my 4wd corolla wagon because its rear springs are also NLA. i spoke to a spring shop today and this is what they told me.

Another option might be air shocks to stiffen the suspension. I ran them for a few years when I did deliveries with my 83.

if you can find some good factory springs from a wrecking yard it would not cost much. Pathfinder rear springs have also been used, you will need to cut a coil off if you do not want to raise the rear, they will be stiff (most remove the rear antisway bar)
