Check this out, ladies and gentlemen.

I can see a serious Turbo 3A-C in the near future...

That's way too small for a 1.5L engine. Unless you use four of them!
I've seen that turbo before, I want one on a go cart. :D

What is it from? Where can I get compressor maps for it?

Thanks

for the 3ac a small turbo could be a ct9 (toyota) it will work up to 1 bar (14.7PSI) and spool up at very low rpms 2000, one that can be less of a hassle to find is a colt turbo, its a tc04 and itll work like stock with your engine, if you want to go twin turbo yopu can use charade turbos or chevy sprint turbos.

I was talking to a mate of mine who's a mechanical engineer and he thought a turbo chainsaw was a nuts idea.
Not only do you have the engine running so fast, but the turbo gets hot enough to give you third degree burns.

And wouldn't it give a little bit of a boost? I'm not talking huge, but enough to be noticed...

And the image comes from <a href='http://www.mjmturbos.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.mjmturbos.com/</a>

It will make boost, but will choke off the power really early. Look at the size of the exhaust inlet. All of your exhaust will have to squeeze through a hole about an inch in diameter. You might not make any power above 2000 rpm! Plus they're not cheap. I think I remember seeing a price of about US $2000 somewhere. :o
I'd look for a junkyard turbo from maybe a 1.0 to 1.8 liter car. That would probably be pretty close to ideal for a Tercel.

It is not the "smallest" turbo ever made. There is a japanese manufacturer of R/C components that made a turbocharged .21 cc r/c engine. It produced massive power (realative of course). The same company also produced a .15 and .27 rotory engine for use in r/c vehicles.

I just wish i still had that image......

I have a brand new IHI turbo thats the same size as the middle turbo in the group picture. It is meant to go on a 4 cyl Ford (2.3l ?).
It would probably be a good fit for my Tercel.
