Re: carb question
They may be jetted differently, but the only difference I know is the bellcrank has the attachment for the kick-down linkage. It delays shifting into the next higher gear when the throttle is wide open for passing or climbing a hill (and in a 62 hp tercel, anytime you want to accelerate!).
This is an easy part to swap out.

Re: carb question
i have swapped carbs between auto and manual
also have re-built quite a few
the only difference i have seen between all carbs is the main jet screws
they have a number stamped on them 101, 102, 103 and 106 for primary
most are 101 or 103 i have only seen one 106, the car had the best power of any tercel i have messed with
but the gas milage averaged 24-26 instead of 28-31 in all the others

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
