I stopped in and checked this one out today on my way home from work. 257,000 miles on the odometer, it runs smooth, but leaks from every seal that can possibly leak, engine, trans, and components are covered in Goo. The fuel pump and spark plugs have recently been replaced (with cheap commie/Chinese crap parts) and the carb has either been replaced with a cheap rebuild or scrubbed clean recently (I didn't take the air cleaner housing off, but from what I could see it was clean-ish older Toyota parts). The brakes are BAD, and I mean Scary almost to the floor before you feel anything bad, but the clutch is good. Struts are soft, but not floating yet. Bellows boots on the power rack and pinion are worn through (ripped open) It shifts a little loose, but all the gears work and it goes in and out of 4wd without issue. It does have new-ish tires on it, but they're studded snow tires, and it's supposed to be in the 80's here (Boise area) in the next few days. No AC, No Cruise, rear package tray is missing, interior is a bit dirty, stained and worn, but mostly there. Doors all open and close without issue, but window regulators are stiff, and most likely in need of a good clean/lube. The body is mostly straight with light scratches and dings that the pics do well to hide. Left rear tail light broken, right front marker light broken. The left front fender is crinkled pretty good. The rest of the body is is solid, showing signs of surface rust and some coming through in the normal spots, rear wheel well dog-leg on each side and inside front door jambs. The sales guys knew NOTHING about Tercels, and told me they had bought it at auction only a few days before. they also claimed the only thing they had done to it was replaced the spark plugs. No eFFin' Way I'd give $2700 for it, but it's a decent project if you could score it for $1,000.00-ish and/or had a parts car or time for a project.

Hello there! I apologize for the disturbance i know I'm late with this but just want to thank you for this post. Got some information here. Seems that you have many experience when it comes to car problems. I'll use this for future reference. Thanks a lot. :D
