a spider to match my tercel

Post by dlb »

found this wee beastie while working on my car and the similar colour between him/her/it and the car was so striking i took a pic. the pic doesn't do the spider justice but holy doodle, it was something else. i've never seen a spider like it around here before, very tropical looking.

some insects match color to their surrounding. It might have been living in your Tercel for a while and has taken on its color.

Hope it's not a baby camel spider. Kill it with fire before it can spawn. A couple of days ago I find this bug on my porch in texas I never seen before and I've been seeing bugs forever and even lived in south America and looked at bugs.

This is as close of the body shape I can find but it was different and had bigger fangs, was yellow and black striped with a marking on it's butt like a black widow. I took a look and decided I didnt want this thing near my porch or making babies and was probably some weird Asian beetle or at least a foreign species so I point blanked him in the face with a pellet gun. I think the hit threw him out into the grass about 20 feet but I couldn't find a corpse and hope I got him because I heard something flying around right after I shot. Could have just disturbed a moth tho. It was dark.
