Looking for rebuilt brake cylinder Calgary Canada
I have a 1986 Tercel 4wd that has a leaky master brake cylinder. I cannot find a rebuilt anywhere in Canada, only new ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Barry

try car-part.com. it's a north american wrecker search engine. i just looked it up (under master cylinder, not brake master cylinder) and it looks like P & S Auto Parts and A-1 Parts for Less Ltd. both have them, and they are both in calgary.
if that doesn't pan out, i could sell you one from my parts car. let me know how it goes.

I do not recall that they cost very much, you might consider a new one. The rebuilt ones are junk, waste of money. OTOH, you might see if you can get a rebuild kit, they are not hard to rebuild on your own. You have to hone the bore (it can be done by hand with some 400 grit wet and dry sand paper), once all the pitting is gone you clean and reassemble it with the new seals.

Re: Looking for rebuilt brake cylinder Calgary Canada
Where does it seem to be leaking. The car I just bought was leaking brake fluid and it was coming from the bottom of the reservoir. The brake pedal felt solid. It didn't creep to the floor, so it had to be above the master. I swapped bushings and reservoirs with my parts car and the problem is solved. You need to use brake fluid compatible silicone on the rubber parts when you install them. Hope that helps.
