I know we're hell lucky to have the Tercel Workshop Manual here on the site, but seeing as I bought my car second-hand, there was no owners manual.

Does someone have such a thing and are able to scan it?

I was just curious, is all...

Yes, I have the one that came with the 83, but I don't know where its at... maybe if I have time and I find it I'll try to scan it.

I got an Australian '83 and a '84 handbook

They are quite a thick book about 100 or so A5 pages.. so quite a lot of photocopying..

I'm selling the '83 handbook for $1000 Aus.. but it does come with a well worni in car, that also has the mudflaps on it that you are after!

Seriously though, If I don't have any luck selling the car for that and have to sell it to a wrecker I'll send you the parts and book or bring them over when I come to Tasmania sometime in the year.

Cheers

Matt :)

That would be very cool indeed, Matt.

And photocopying isn't a real worry. Uni research accounts are wonderful things :) 'It was ...er...a thick section of papers! Honest'

What would you ask for the mudflaps and the book? I was after the '83, personally as that's what I'm driving...

I've had pretty good luck finding owner's manuals in junkyards. Half the time they don't even charge for them.

Yeah, but all the junkyards around here are pennypinching bastards who wouldn't save their own grandmother if there wern't money in it for them

i got the origional 1983 owners manual from my tercel (my parents bought the thing new)

i could scan some stuff if your interested, but i'm not going to scan the whole thing.

its got a pretty heafty maintenance section with lots of specs. it actually has about 5 or 6 spark plug heat ranges, where most owners manuals only recomend 1 spark plug heat range.

Well, I found mine but the cover is crap so I won't scan the covers. I don't know when I'll be able to scan it all as I would like to do so! It's about 111 pages long.

Hey Lateer,

I'm probably the nearest forum member to you

Haven;t had anyone buy my car yet (haven't advertised as I am still preparing it for sale) but how about I just send you the book down and if you can send back with in a week I'd be grateful as I probably will have started advertising then.

probably the best thing would be to remove the staples put it through the page feeder and then reassemble it later

Send me your address and I'll try and get it to you next week

Cheers

Matt
