Well, the fuel system bolted up with no problems and the old girl fired up instantly. Woke up the next morning to 15cm of snow and a forecast for freezing rain. How's that for good timing?
I'll be changing the fuel filter and keeping an eye on things, but all seems well. By the way, if you've never dropped your tank, make sure to disconnect the fuel gauge connector before you do. I didn't. It's at the very back of the cargo floor under the carpet.
Thanks to everyone for their advice (again). Love this site.
I almost look forward to winter now...

Also make sure you do not install a tank with rust on the inside! And if you do, don't pour the dirty gas back into a good tank! I did, and the fuel lines clog whenever it's run close to empty and then filled up again, and the fuel filters clog after 3 months.

Any tips on cleaning out a gas tank?

JCWhitney sells some stuff that you put in the tank and use to coat the interior...so it must be available other places......
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.
