Fuel gauge do not dropp

Fuel gauge do not dropp
Hey, i have a problem with the fuel gauge. the low fuel warninglight do work, and when i fill the tank full it works, but when i've used 3/4 of the tank it stopps there. i hope some one knows how to fix this
Current: 87 Tercel 4wd wagon, 98 Toyota avensis 1,6 4a-fe, 85 Tercel wagon 4WD amfibious (tvillingen)
Former: 85 Tercel wagon 4WD (Blå), 86 Tercel wagon 4WD 87 Opel Corsa A 1.3, 84-88 Toyota Carina II 1.8, 93 Opel Vectra A 2.0 and 68 Mercedes-Benz E 200.

take the sender out and clean the contacts, they get all corroded and have unreliable contact. There is a thread in the repair guides section on how to do this I think.
