In the event I DO win the lottery, ahem, I am looking for a remaunfactured engine and was hoping someone could clue me in as to where to get one...and not one for 5K bucks!

Tercel 3A engine 3A or 3AC should do it.

Needs to have a warranty as well...I think I found one just outside of Seattle that will run me about 1400.00 with tax and shipping..but would prefer to see if I can score it cheaper...like w/o 10% tax.

I know the price above is really a good price but seeing how I have been out of work for 28 months..too old (apparently) to get hired again.. I need to save pennies where ever I can.

Unless someone has a workable solar engine for me...that, once again, I can afford.

One of the best deals around is to get one of the low miles imported engines, usually around $400. But it will require some new gaskets and to swap over your oil pan, intake/exhuast manifold, carb and other external parts. Getting a good engine for a car this old my be a problem, so you have to call the importers and see what they have in stock.

What is wrong with your engine? sometimes it can be fix for less than replacing it. Is the car worth repairing? number of miles on it and what condition is it in?

Where are you located? I sometimes take on side jobs to fix up Tercels for their owners, I live about an hour north of Seattle.

And for $1400 I would do for you a nice performance rebuild too, gain a bit more hp over stock. Way better than a stock rebuild.
