EGR Delete? Pros & Cons

Post by copenhagenfiend »

Instead of cleaning my full egr system out through soaking and drilling and poking - can I just remove it altogether? A block off plate wouldn't be a problem for the intake side, but what to do for the 19mm bolt side? Are there any benefits to removing it? I just finished rebuliding the carb and removing the exhaust/intake manifolds to replace that gasket. My entire EGR system is carboned up like many of you have seen! And thanks from a long time creeper and first time poster!

I did this when I did the Weber and it's worked just fine.
