The omni-present thread...I like to start it at every board I go to, it yields interesting and sometimes hilarious results....I will start...

What have you found in your car?

When I bought the Tercel I found an Asian coin under the back seat, it is "500" but other than that, I can't tell. Well of course there was american money back there too.

When I bought my Ramcharger, I found a Craftsman double open ended wrench in the engine bay....as well as a huge piece of crap disguised as a truck but that's another story....then I bought a door for it at the junkyard and I found a 12" Crescent wrench in it, actual Crescent brand even! Oh and there were some shotgun shells (unspent but corroded) in the back of that truck.

We found a 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchet in the gastank of my brother's Suburban one time.

And my favourite of all time, I found a box-end wrench 14mm or something, in a Toyota 4runner....in the OIL PAN.

that's cool

Under the back seat of my Toy;
3 opened condom wrappers
$3.50 in quarters and dimes
Some Canadian coin of some sort. Can't remember what I did with it
2 pocket knives
a few Bazooka bubblegum wrappers
a large ball of lint

You are the magical wrench-in-every-place-man Adelard...

My dad found a large pile of bolts in his Chevelle's gas tank when he had it, along with a hose remover in the engine bay (still have that)

Civic:
Unused tampon and a nice pen.

Swift parts car:
Lots of bullets.

Metro:
Rotten food.

Hornbeam (Ya'll know HB, right?):
Both driver's side doors and B-pillar!

Parents' 1991 Civic:
A loose thread just lying on the back seat matching the seat fabric! I guess nobody ever sat back there!

Damn, your Tercel almost paid for itself!

Is a hose remover that pair of pliers that has hose-shaped jaws on it? I should get a pair of those

haven't found anything in my tercel except a new set of plug wires in the back compartment.i worked as a technician at a mitsubishi dealer in tennessee a couple years ago and some mexicans traded a honda accord wagon in on an eclipse.i did a rush job on the used car inspection because i thought it would go right to the auction.detailers got it next and found an H&k 9mm under the pass seat in a brown paper bag. if i had just looked a little closer it would have been added to my collection!
there is only one jeep.and that is one too many!

In the '86, sold new in Nashville - three prior owners, all in Nashville area:
Many pennies, nickels, some silver dimes and quarters - about $7.00.

And - a 1901 Morgan silver dollar in worn, but quite legible shape!
Have to take it to the coin dealer to recoup some of my "investment"...

When I was crawling through junkyards looking for Mustang parts to resell, I once bought a console from a 71 for $10. The guy in the office at the junkyard ,ade me pay for it before I could pull it. When I lifted it out of the car, I found over $30 in change, and a $20 bill.

The strangest thing I ever found in one of my own cars was a German milk carton and a waxed-paper sandwich wrapper inside the passenger side quarter panel of my 75 VW Rabbit.
