Would a 1c diesel out of a corolla fit in the terc4wd?

wondering if if would physically fit the bell housings?

possible if it from the '83-94 model year IF they used the same trans. the bolt pattern on the back of the block is the critical element, I would guess these have a different trans than the gasoline model. Does any one know for sure?

it is from the transverse trans, but the cars also used the 4A engine

board member cathoderaytube is in the middle of doing a diesel swap. he was going to use a 2C-T but it didn't the tranny so he's now got a 1N-T which he's confident will fit. not sure if the 1C is similar to the 2C, you'll have to really dig for that. check out this thread though.
