I dream of the Terjunken - and Forum members

Post by deejay1272 »

I had a visceral dream last night involving the Terjunken. I was out driving in the snow, kicking ass in 4WD per usual when i noticed a problem of some sort. When I popped the bonnet to inspect, I found that the engine was undergoing a massive overheat with coolant and smoke pouring out everywhere (this is likely associated with my constant mental review of the timing belt/water pump job that I plan to do soon). Weirdly, the coolant that was spewing all over the place was blood red - adding an awesome anthropomorphic component to my dream.

Somehow I got the attention of some lady that offered help from a close personal friend - a middle aged gentleman that knew how to diagnose and fix my Terjunken without even looking at it. He just sat there cool as a cucumber and told me what was up. Later in the dream, after some other eerie scenes, it became clear that this mechanic friend was in fact Petros. After the revelation, I was able to pack up and continue my solo adventure and said ass-kicking in the winter snow.

Petros - it seems that you're the man of my dreams. Ha!

Weird. Very, very weird.

Hmmm...sounds like Tercel repair anxiety syndrome with undertones of Petros co-dependency.

Best cure for that is just get out there and do the repair already, and stop thinking about it. It will go much easier than you think, the pre-start anxiety is the worst part.

You will thank me in the morning.

I do need to shut up and do this job already. You know it's bad when you start having dreams about stuff like this!

I've been balls to the walls busy lately, but I finally found the 15 minutes to order the parts last night so I'll be diving into this soon. As for my Petros/T4WD dependency issues, well that's another issue.

there's a user on the forum named xirdneh. i had a dream a while back where i realized that his name was hendrix backwards. i woke up and realized my dream was right. i have no idea why it came to me in my sleep but our minds do strange and amazing things without us knowing it so i wasn't too weirded out.
