Recent book I read: Party of One....The Loner's Manifesto...not a book for everyone...but covers some interesting ground.
I've camped alone...a lot. I find that the more alone you are...the more you can relate in a positive way to nature. Many people are scared sheetless to be alone. You might be staring at a blank sheet of paper until you get through to the other side of it.... These days you will find it harder and harder to really be alone...the police state you know.
Or get married and have kids...I guess it keeps you busy and you don't really have to think a lot?
