Hey all, i'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 1984 wagon tercel and i would like to know the compression reading on this vehicle? thanks.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Tell us about it. Where are you at?

Compression readings of 125 or above are good. Could be as high as 150 or more. More important is they all be fairly even. You also might take the reading "dry" (write it down), and than spray some light oil in each cylinder and try again (and write it down). IT should raise it some. If 3 goes up and one dose not, it means the valves in that cylinder are not sealing. IF all come up a lot, it means the rings are worn. If you get mixed results, it means both rings and valves are not sealing well.
