Strut Housings-Different Power to Manual?
I thought that someone (Petros, maybe?) had looked at the front strut housings (I know that the inserts are the same) were different from the power steering to the manual steering cars, Does anyone know for sure? I have the set from the '83 in the overhead, but it was manual, and the new '85 is power. They do mount slightly different (the PS ones have the third stud to the back instead of the front) to give a different steering axis inclination, but I'm not sure about the housings.

Check the EPC sticky in the Parts forum; you can scroll around to discover the part numbers.
I thought they were the same.

I have owned both manual and power steering Tercel4wd, and I am not aware of any differences. I doubt there would be any differences, except maybe a stiffer spring for the extra weight. But the housing would not be different I suspect.
You have the parts, you will find out soon enough, let us know what you find.

Thanks Tom, I've never used the EPC before. Looks like they made some small change from 82-84 another from 84-85 and yet another from 85-86, but all are superceded by a single part #. Great news! I'm putting the ones I have on, I'll let you know how it comes out.
