My Tarcel Melbourne Aust

Post by lance »

Hi my name is Mark
I have just taken possession of a blue 87 Tarcel. If was given to my by a mate for the price off a
tow bar for a ute that he wanted to buy. The reasion for walking away from his Tarcel was that it didnt suit his life style any longer. It also had clutch problems and quite a large oil leak . His machanic also said it would cost too mutch to repair.
Being a tinkerer it hasent taken long to breath life in the old girl. The car has done over 400000 klms but has has recorded repair records right up to when my mate purchased it 7 years ago.
It had a broken clutch cable and maybe a slipping clutch. It alco had a massive oil leak. I had the clutch fixed a few hours after getting the car home with a spare cable that l had in the garden shed . It was off a Chrysler lancer ( Plymouth Arrow ) The oil leak was ment to be caused by blow buy but l found a very lose rocker cover which is the problem.
I have been driving it around and quite enjoy it. I feel the only modes l would like to do is the A4c with a weber, larger wheels and if can do it at a reasionable price a suspenshion lift so we can have a little fun
So thats my profile , will post picks one day Mark

Welcome to the Club!
Lots of info available here with just a Search and helpful members! There is also a FSM available for download - albeit for LHD cars, but with just a little interpolation you'll be OK.
