When it's time to hook up the throttle cable- Remove the crank and the piece right behind it on the throttle shaft. A hairpin clip and linkage rod are the only thing in your way. Note their position while removing. Here's what you should have.
On the inner piece everything behind the main plate gets cut off. Here's what's left Cleaned up and ready for assembly.
Bolt it back up tight and weld it up. Hopefully I shouldn't have to remind you that all the gas should have been thoroughly shaken out of the old carb and aired out by now. Welded up. Then remove and install to weber. The very end of the throttle cable support where the cable goes thru just need a little bend towards the carb for good alignment.
