Quick Question, Please Help!

Post by terceleration »

Hello,
So I am new to the Tercel Wagon world (check the members profile area for my new post there), and I was wondering what the difference was between an SR5 model and the one that I have. Basically, I am missing these three parts, and I found a guy in my area parting out his wagon, but it's an SR5. Would these parts be compatible?

Front Passenger Turn Signal Light Cover (the one below the bumper).
The back seat plastic pulling piece to drop the seat.
The radio.

I am negotiating a deal with the guy for the parts, but I want to know if they fit before I drive the 25 miles into Seattle and back. Please let me know. Thanks guys.

PS- If any one out there has these parts (minus the radio, I suppose. I just want my wagon to be stock, but my radio is AM only, bleh. So I kind of want a stock radio with a cassette deck, but I'm more concerned about the other parts.) hit me up.

Everything can be changed over, there are lots of details, but the differences are:

the seats have cloth panels, better support and more adjustments
the instrument cluster is better looking and has a tach and clock (easy swap, it just plugs in to the harness, get it if you can)
The outside door trim is wider (not worth the effort, but it can be swapped over).
I think the SR5 has mud flaps that say "4wd" on them, but not sure about that.
AM/FM radio, some have cassett player. I like the factory radio, has the best AM reception for listing to news and talk shows.

The floor matts might be diffent too, carpet instead of rubber. I like the rubber for the muddly roads I drive on.

Hi there! My friend is looking for a replacement of the front turn signal light on his tercel wagon because someone had destroyed it while the car is park outside their house. Well, me and my friend were both wondering if the front turn signal light of an SR5 would fit the tercel because we can get it near a junkyard at our place but would it be compatible? Hoping any opinions about this or suggestions where to get a replacement of it? :?:

The turn signal light plugs are different from the '83s to the '85s (I just had to change one due to stupidity). One is a round three prong, the other ('85) is a small three pin. The lights themselves are also a little different-the earlier ones had a metal reflector behind the lamp, and the later ones were all plastic. as to the lenses, I have no idea, I had to fab up a clear lens cover and use an amber bulb for mine.
