Hey guys,
I went hunting for the jack in my 85 SR5 recently and came across a fabric net type thingy that I think is what I keep seeing referred to as a "cargo cover"? Are these rare? A cargo cover for a festiva (for example) is a hot commod because over the years people chuck them or lose them. My SR5 also has one of those. If nothing else, always makes me thing the former owner(s) cared a little for the car.

Re: Cargo cover?
The cargo cover is a rigid, mouse-fur covered, two piece affair. It is removable, and snaps into the (SR5) supporting side pieces (with the speakers). It is East-West hinged in the middle and is attached to the hatch with two cords so it raises like, well, a cargo cover. The net is aftermarket - possibly a Toy accessory?
It sounds like you have one - lucky devil! It's been on my list to build one for a couple of years - kinda like how it only took 4 1/2 years to get around to making new shifter boots...

The rear cargo cover looks like this:

bottom side
The pictures are one from a silver/gray 1986 if I recall.

Re: Cargo cover?
maybe it was some kind of option or something because I found the same thing in my terc. it is a cargo net with hooks on it. I have seen them used on pickups to hold cargo in the bed. Mine is much too small for a truck bed but is the perfect size for the back of my terc. I also found a canvas bag in the bottom of the jack compartment with some road flares dated 1974.
