Tercel Names

Post by So_Powerful »

I thought it would be fun to hear the names we have given our Tercels. I came up with a name for my 85 the other day but I wanted to make sure no one else uses it. I want to call my tercel Terbie. Let's hear what you call yours.

One member's car was named by their kid- Squarepants. Got a good laugh out of that one.

Terbie's not bad either. Terbie the love turtle? haha People might look at you funny/funnier though.

Mine is shared by many, I'm sure: "Goldie." Prosaic and trite, I guess - but she's mine.

The Gold '85 I picked up in Colorado (story in "Road Trip" thread) I named Grunt, because that is the sound it seemed to make when I hit a large bump, all of the shocks were junk, you could could feel it.

I call the Tercel "the wagon" and my truck "the truck". My grandfather called his last car...a '55 ford..."the machine"...he was a farmer who also had tractors and so forth...but had grown up with horses? Must run in the family?

Squarepants is the perfect name for the T4WD though.

My present red T4wd is named Canyonero (from the simpsons)

Last Tercel (light metalic green) was Gamera - a giant radioactive Turtle that would battle godzilla

The All-trac doesn't get a name yet-has to earn it.

Barto, that is just not nice. Your car may get back at you for that, at the least opportune moment too.
