wtb, fwd transmission

Post by Chevro »

I am in the process of rebuilding my 84 fwd 5spd trans. It has a worn shift fork . I cannot seem to find one anywhere. I will buy, either a donor trans, or even a basket case trans if anyone has one lying around.

I am in the Eugene OR area, but I regularly travel to Salem, or I will go almost anywhere within a few hundred miles to get one. I really want to get my car back on the road soon!

Thanks!

i have two dead trannys
one is completely taken apart and one is partially apart
i'm sure the fork you need is in there somewhere
and you can have it for cost of shipping
but i would not know how to check it for wear
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

Don't worry, a bent or worn shift fork will be pretty obvious to you when you see it.

yes, it was very worn on the id of the fork, from the outside it looked ok. outside of the fork was about .220, mine was worn to .155.

xirdneh just sent me one today, along with an output shaft with all the stuff still on it.

Thanks xirdneh!
