Its an Ugly compact car, its 4wd and its Japanese...

I just read the review on this thing, and I had to post the link here. I think its truly ugly... but there is part of me that wants to drive it!

http://www.nissaninthenews.com/2011-nis ... aks-cover/

Most "normal" people would say the Tercel is no looker... but we all know that is not always about looks, its about whats on the inside... mainly that 5 speed manual with 4wd and EL gear... so will the all wheel drive on this thing make me love it? I'm not expecting it to be a manual transmission... but it has a turbo, and a lot of power compared to the Tercel... will that make up for the slush box? I know the price tag will not beat the $80 I paid for the Tercel... but I may have to go take a look... for looks sake.

what do you guys think of it, anyone else thinking of taking a test drive?
My first car was a Tercel, and I'm still driving a Tercel, some people say I need an Intervention.

I like it, nissans always handle better than Toyotas anyway. It may not have as much room as the Tercel4wd, but look at all that power! looks like fun. Too bad I will not be able to afford it until it gets 20+ years old.

Hopefully they will make it available in AWD for the US version. A lot of fun little cars, like the Fit, Yaris, etc. are only available in AWD in Europe or Japan, but not in the US.

Doesn't pass for me. Looks like it wouldn't fit my 2 man fishtrap(portable ice fishing house) in the back. Don't want to use my ice auger as an armrest either. It has to "measure up" to a tercel first. Horsepower alone won't do that.

In 20 years, cars won't be nearly as cheap to own as current 20 year olds, so don't expect an $80 Juke.

I don't know if I'd call it ugly though.

Actually with all of the complex systems, likely it will not be practical to keep running after 20 years. Too many specialized parts to replace. In fact it is more likely the current 25 year old Tercel4wd will be still fixable and running in 20 years than any of the current new cars.
