where's the tranny oil thread?
Sorry, newbie here. I've seen many references to the one-and-only way to change the tranny fluid, references to following the FSM, and references to a dedicated thread on this topic. But...... when I look in the FSM (even trying searching on it) and try searching this forum, I don't find this info (just lots of dire warnings if you don't follow this info.....). Can someone point me to the dedicated thread and/or the location in the manual? Thanks.

Welcome to the Club!
Check the FSM again - it's on page MA-16 of Maintenance Operations - at the front of the book.
Also - check these threads for important info on plug removal and proper tools: http://www.tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtop ... it=chamfer
and http://www.tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtop ... it=chamfer
Make certain you remove the filler plugs first!

Re the AutoZone site...it changed a couple of months ago to one somewhat less desirable, but still good (a LOT of the photos disappeared and, to me, it is less user-friendly).
You will have to sign up - but AZ will not deluge you with emails.
