You now have a Chia Pet for VP who was the dumbest man in the US Senate. Did you ever hear him talk? You now have a monkey mouth with a fat butt who hates America as 1st whatever. You now have a guy about to run the IRS who conveniently forgot to pay his income taxes and claimed phony deductions on his returns. You now have an Attorney General who helped get pardons for criminal terrorists and a bum on the run.

And best of all you have a president with no experience except as a "community organizer" (rabble rouser) who with the stroke of a pen is going to spend your money into decades of debt. He has made you less safe by promising to close down Guantanamo and promising to go by the US Army Field Manual for interrogations. That means that when Bin Ladin is captured he won't have water splashed on his face. He will be asked "Please tell us, pretty please?" Then they will give him a candy bar. Have you seen what the detainees who have been released have been up to? Hmmmm? They are planning to kill your neighbors!

This new, inexperienced president who cannot put two sentences together without a teleprompter, cannot work miracles contrary to what you think. He cannot walk on water and he is definitely not a god. He is not your saviour. He is going to spend your money on social programs that put us so deep into debt that your great grand children will be paying for his pork forever. Yes, I think we can agree that, it it an exciting time for not only the USA but the rest of the world. (Personally I think all citizens of the earth should be able to vote who sits in the white house). I look forward to meeting more Americans traveling the world without having to pretend that they are Canadians!

I wouldn't expect any miracles for a while - whether you are drinking the kool aid or the Fox news hateorade you are being sucked in by the propaganda like your opponents. 1 year ago we had a change of government in Australia and a lot of changes just get bogged down in the senate. We have seen some symbolism in important areas but economic times have proven diferent and the government has a "failed" according to it's detractors - others say that the government has to concentrate on the new economic issues.

I'm living in Rome right now and the Prime Minister here Silvio Berlisconi owns almost all the media, there is rubbish everywhere 3 types of police, there are coruption charges in the papers almost weekly! So, USA, things could be a lot worse!

IMHO Scandanavian countries have there shit together for instance "Socialist" Sweden is the 4th in World Economic Forum - Global Competitiveness Report 2007–2008. Yet is 3rd in Yale University / Columbia University - Environmental Performance Index. Perhaps we need to look away from our "labels" and look a bit further afield from our sheltered lives.

First of all, I don't have a sticker on any of my cars or trucks. Check out the photos of them on my flickr site before you run your mouth. It is obvious that many members of this group have a nasty, liberal, socialist bent and I guess that is to be expected. Remember, when I say something, it is factual and not fantasy. I can back up all of my statements. Can you say the same? I doubt it.

When I was young I was foolish enough to vote for Carter. I admit that was a mistake. Mortgage rates zoomed to 15 to 20% and unemployment soared. He had the highest numbers for the "Misery Index" in history. I learned from that mistake. I wish I could say the same about you. Your heads are in the sand and don't realize what is going on around you.

I lost four good friends on 9-11-01 so I have a different perspective than someone tucked away in the in the desert far away from the nearest terrorist target. You cannot appreciate the fact that Bush made all of us safe from terrorism for the past eight years. You will never understand.

I am leaving this group. I don't want to be associated with a group of closed-minded children who vote without any knowledge of current events nor history.

I'm happy to report that we have the whole political bent covered here - and for the most part it works pretty well, most people are pretty well able to keep there extreme views under control (and believe it or not we all have them!). so if you want to have a tantrum - so be it

I hate politics with a passion, but why leave because you have different views? It is one thing to voice your opinion based on facts that you know, but calling out other people because they believe DIFFERENT than you, is more childish. IN MY OPINION, none of the people that ran for president were fit for the job. Mccain was inept and obama is indeed inexperienced, but you pick the best of the worst.
