Need a Transmission!! (What happened?)

I think my transmission went out today. Last few weeks, it's been popping out of 2nd and 4th when I downshift or even try and shift. Today 3rd and 4th completely went. I tried to drive a little, and EVERYTHING isn't working. I try to start off in any gear, and it feels like the emergency brake is on, and reverse makes me go forward a little. WHAT HAPPENED? Should I replace it? Anyone have a good one in Southern California? I'm gonna call junkyards tomorrow.

Got one for parts in ny,off an 86 sr5 wagon,think the input shaft is toast,but gears are ok. Jim

Did you ever find a trans for your car? '84, right? I have my '84 up for sale (norcal) but am thinking of parting it out.
