snow in oregon, yay!

Post by Neu »

So it's been snowing a seriously large amount in oregon the last few days.

Lets just say, the tercel impressed all who saw it.

i'm trying to send my pics to my email from my cell phone, but it's proving hard again.

Anyone else in oregon having fun yet?

Not Oregon but Ontario by Lake Huron. We've had snow for weeks now...and lots of it. We've had our cars in 4wd since November. It's finally melting with the +5C weather but there was a huge 4ft drift in my driveway my wife got stuck in this morning. Alas I needed my tractor to pull her out as the wheels were barely touching the ground.

We finally got some snow in Victoria BC. I'm LOVING it. These cars feel invincible in the snow. It goes from a beater to a kick ass car.

So we went back up and measured the actual amount of snow still left on the ground, 1.8 feet.

The tercel was going UPHILL through this.

We're only at 1.4 ft on the ground, but my girls love how much fun the T4WDs are in the snow. My wife, on the other hand, loves the stability and grip of a terc in 2WD with studs, not to mention when she needs to put in in 4WD, it's right there. :D Fun all around, even at 2°F at noontime. I still plow the road with the truck, people don't seem to understand that it's basic maintenance for the next storm, rather than a necessity to get out.
[RANT] It's weird how folks here seem to think that when its cold, they have to go slower. I went 3 miles yesterday in 1st gear :!: How annoying.
Enjoy the ability to go where and when you want- not many people have that luxury of mobility with their cars.
Cheers!
