Fresh, instant Tercel 4wd nut!!

Post by gearhead313 »

Greets all!

THANK GOD FOR GOOGLE!!!!! b/c otherwise i would be lost in my new fancy tercel purchase.

Upon looking for a winter vehicle, i came across my new little beauty on craigslist here in pittsburgh, pa. Its an 83, i dont think anything special.... except it is apparently a "leatherneck" edition, which when i searched for it (originally how i found tercel4wd.com), there were a couple other guys that had them. So, i'd like to proudly introduce myself and another North Carolina survivor!

I had to put a gas tank in it and a sending unit so far. The rockers need metal, but the underside is still nice. A weber carb and header are in its near future as well. I have so much searching and research to do!!!

There are places that make custom decals for making authentic restorations. If you can get accurate pictures and overall dimensions they can duplicated them pretty good I suspect. I do not know how costly they are, but with modern graphics software it is likely not too costly.
