So it's opening day of hunting season in Oregon, which means all the piece of shit hunting rigs are out.
This means new fresh ruts and mudding spots.
I really, really wish I had photos for you guys.
Stop one - Mega ruts, I had to stay really high side, at one point I dipped into the ditch to get by it.
Stop 2 - Really high climb, that I made it over with barely any run at. I just kept it in EL and revved to about 4500 rpms. Spun up it, and then came over and went back around. Fun
Stop 3 - Couldn't go up it. Had ruts that went past my doors, but I didn't get up to the first step (it had two steps) and it was maybe 25 feet total height. I had to stay beside the ruts.
Stop 4 - I finally got stuck, high centered myself when i fell into the ruts, but I did manage to get out, with the smart use of turning the wheels as fast as I can, and rocking the tercel A LOT. It made sounds that didnt' sound good, but it made it out.
On the way back a few cookies and slides were done, I even hit my friend when he pulled an e-brake in front of me and spun sideways, but it was only his tire. No big deal.
Fun day afterall, now I'm in Corvallis with a mud covered car for those hippies to hate. gotta love corvallis.

I've camped out in the Oregon NF when the hunters went into rut. One day a peaceful sunny fall forest...next few days......???
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

next few days would be blood fest.takza wrote:I've camped out in the Oregon NF when the hunters went into rut. One day a peaceful sunny fall forest...next few days......???
Hunting is pretty intense around here, I've already got two deer (i hunt for other peoples tags), both of which i shot while the only car around was mine, so up on the roof they go.
Looks terrible...but it's necessary.
