Still preparing for the Weber and I've been studying the vaccum diagrams and such and I was wondering if you all could send me a list of what emissions stuff can get removed. I'm not a mechanic and this is all pretty new to me just hoping you guys could save me some time and mistakes. I plan on pretty much following the instructions included with the weber kit but would like to clean up all the stuff you don't need rather than just plugging lines or whatever. Also what exactly is the benefit of the egr conversion to pcv? Is this fairly easy to pull off?

Re: Splatterdog and other guys with webers
I removed everything. Evap canister is all thats left and is disconnected. I ran the ported vacuum from the weber to the vac advance nipple that provided the biggest advance in timing. The vacuum port adapter on the front intake runner can be replaced with a 1/8 bsp pipe plug too.
Reuse the elec choke wire from the original carb harness. Should be the wire with the red silicone sleeve.
Egr to pcv allows removal of the heater/spacer plate under the carb for more hood clearance. None of my egr's had been functional in a long time so I didn't miss them. I explained how to in my weberiffic post if you haven't seen it yet.
I would also reuse the throttle shaft bellcrank from the stock carb. Fits like a glove with some slight mods. The stamped steel plate right behind the crank(has the back to back D shaped center hole) needs to be reduced to just the flat portion and welded, riveted,or screwed in its normal postion to the crank. There is a bump on the plate and a locator hole on the crank for proper positioning.
Good luck!
