Windshield replacement
I need help in replacing my windshield. Are there any other Toyota models whose windshield dimensions match that of a Tercel Wagon? There is one locally made available here but i am sourcing for the authentic windshield. Would greatly appreciate your suggestions.

Re: Windshield replacement
I know people who have done it, but I have never had luck with removing a windshields without damaging it. It seems the best source would be a wrecking yard (cheap), but there is the removing issue. These windshields are glued in place. Unless you have experience with it, I suggest you leave this to the people who do this for a living. Also consider that often the original Japanese glass was soft and easy to pit or etch, sometimes the local after market glass is better quality.
good luck

Re: Windshield replacement
seconding petros and the junkyard. You can break the windshield in a junk yard car and as long as nobody sees you..well, no harm! Just sweep the glass away a lil bit with your foot.
Then try again. If you can manage to get it out, putting it in should be easy.
Google "Windshield Removal"
There are a few tools that make it easier too.

Re: Windshield replacement
Appreciate your advise sirs!! The cracks started out as a barely noticeable 3mm diameter pit, which unfortunately I ignored for a while until it blossomed into a big fissure.
Will carry on with my sourcing, thanks for the help!
